  17. Double click the WARPLANES program icon to run the demo application.
  18.  
  19. The NAVIGATOR screen is used to access Aircraft and Weapons data plus five airfields operational in major conflicts:

  21. Click the Aircraft Data button or the USS America during the Gulf War (highlighted buttons) or QUIT to exit the WARPLANES demo.

  23. Click the Aircraft Data Panel:

  25. Click the camera icon in the bottom left corner of the photo thumbnail to see the photo full screen.  Click BACK to return to the data panel.

  27. Click the video button to load a video clip into the photo thumbnail window; click the video icon to run the video
  28.  
  29. Click the explore button to load a 3D model into the photo thumbnail window; click the explore icon to see the 3D model full screen - use the directional buttons in the centre of the control panel to move around the aircraft model.  Click BACK to return to the data panel.

  31. Click NAVIGATOR to return to the main Navigator screen or QUIT to exit the WARPLANES demo.

  33. Click the button showing the deck of the USS America:

  35. Click the F-16 Tomcat (central aircraft) to view a multimedia war report.  Click BACK to return to the carrier deck at any time.

  37. Click the left area of the deck to view an animation of a jet engine.  Click BACK to return to the carrier deck.
  38.  
  39. Click the small aircraft on the left of the screen to explore a 3D model of the F/A-18 Hornet.  Use the directional buttons in the centre of the control panel to move around the aircraft model.  Click BACK to return to the carrier deck.

  41. Click the carrier island area to view a 3D animation of an F/A-18 mission.

  43. Click NAVIGATOR to return to the main Navigator screen or QUIT to exit the WARPLANES demo.
